a different type of brokerage service. Available for
now only in Moorhead, this service can help buyers and sellers achieve their real estate goals and potentially save them some money in the process. The client chooses the level of service he or she desires and pays a flat-rate sales commission on the level of service chosen. Because Soncrant does not offer full service brokerage, this may not be an appropriate choice for all clients.
In Minnesota, a business interest or opportunity is considered to be real estate, so business brokers in Minnesota are required to have real estate licenses. The same is not true in North Dakota. James T. Soncrant's business brokerage services are therefore available to business owners and buyers in both Minnesota and North Dakota. A business interest or opportunity does not include a business franchise or the securities of a business entity. Sales of these items are not considered to be real estate transactions and are regulated under other state and federal laws.
